Needlework Programs

Explore your creative side! Several of our branches offer crochet and knitting clubs and classes. Call your library or check our calendar for meeting dates.
- Needlework Clubs are offered at the Cave Spring, Rome-Floyd County, and Trion branches. Gather to work on your current project and have a fun time with fellow needlework fanatics!
- Crochet and sewing classes are offered at the Cave Spring, Cedartown, and Chattooga branches. Learn the sewing and crocheting basics from an experienced instructor.
Book Clubs
Book clubs are currently offered at the Chattooga and Rome-Floyd County branches. Call your library or check our calendar for specific meeting dates and to find out which books will be discussed.
- Chattooga Library’s Adult Book Club meets twice a month.
- Rome-Floyd County offers two book clubs.
- The “Truth is Stranger Than Fiction” Nonfiction Book Club meets at 4pm on the fourth Thursday of every month.
- The “Better Off Read than Dead” book club meets on the third Saturday every month at 10am.

Computer and Technology Assistance

All branches except Cave Spring offer a variety of FREE internet and email classes and one-on-one technology tutoring. All branches offer basic help with computers and personal technology devices, and access to online computer training courses.
- Rockmart offers computer classes bi-monthly. Check the calendar for exact dates.
- Cedartown, Chattooga, Rome-Floyd County, and Trion offer individualized computer training. These one-on-one training sessions are scheduled for 30 minutes and require registration. Contact your local branch for more information.
Geri-Fit® Program

The Chattooga Library offers a Geri-Fit® program Tuesdays and Fridays at 10am. Geri-Fit® is a tier III (highest level) evidence-based health promotion program and chronic disease self-management support program. Designed exclusively for older adults, Geri-Fit® helps rebuild strength that’s been lost through the aging process to help ensure a higher level of function as older adults continue to age.
